About the story
The transition of moving in with a relative can be difficult and confusing for a child. In Going to Live with Auntie, a little girl moves in with her aunt when her parents are unable to care for her. The story closely examines the big emotions a child feels when adjusting to a new home. It offers a message of hope to children experiencing a significant change in their life and reassures them that it is normal to feel those big emotions.
The inspiration
The inspiration for this story came from my own personal experience with my nieces. During the transition we struggled to find children's literature that could be helpful and comforting in this type of situation, so, I wrote one!
