Difficult Conversations
This collection was created for the moments that are hardest to talk about—when children find themselves in new homes, cared for by relatives or foster families, and everyone is searching for the right words. Through gentle storytelling and relatable characters, these books help open the door to honest conversations, offering comfort, clarity, and a sense of belonging. Each story is designed to support children and the grown-ups who love them, making space for questions, emotions, and healing. My hope is that these pages become a bridge—between hearts, homes, and understanding.
The transition of moving in with a relative can be difficult and confusing for a child. In Going to Live with Auntie, a little girl moves in with her aunt when her parents are unable to care for her. The story closely examines the big emotions a child feels when adjusting to a new home. It offers a message of hope to children experiencing a significant change in their life and reassures them that it is normal to feel those big emotions.
